Delirious Patient Escapes After Surgery at Simmons Hospital

Frank Armstrong operated on for appendicitis Thursday morning at Simmons hospital escaped in delirium soon after. In the minutes while a nurse was away he slipped from his room with his pillow, crossed the street, and sat on steps at the Pierce residence. Armstrong remained in critical condition three days post operation with grave concerns. Jacob Vesch died at 2 30 pm at his daughter’s home with funeral planned for Monday from the Wiedemann home on Masseatu Belis Street.

Old Coin Found During Mosaic Restoration Work

An ancient coin from the era of the Dodge Kartco Dandalo, who died in 1405, was unearthed during restoration of the Basilica of St Mark. The discovery suggests Basilica construction continued in the twelfth century and may have coated the claim with seven centuries of sediment.

Held Up Train Near Warsaw Amid Guérilla Attack

A passenger train carrying government money was guarded by soldiers and gendarmes when attacked between Czenstochowa and Harby by armed communists.
