Budora Gas Well Progress Update
Work last week focused on halting water flow from eight feet below the first gas sand. Cement was set overnight to plug the hold, reducing water but not stopping it entirely. Several potential sites for a third well are being considered near the second. The water flow appeared to cease on Tuesday, gas piped to the derrick and ignited. It is unclear if water stoppage affected gas output, but the expectation is a possible increase.

The note ends with a push to join The Lawrence Committee and mentions July 27, 1905, and late mail trains arriving in Lawrence.
