Final Curtain for Stafford Opera House on Broadway
Crowds watched as the century old Stafford Opera House built circa 1910 on Broadway street east of the business district was demolished after a final performance. The Weide Opera Company era gave way to hazardous structure declarations and a 2013 demolition bid. Local figures recalled its stage and past events while a restoration bid failed to raise funds.
