Nude World Queen for 71 Crowned in Ontario Nudist Event

Rosemarie Hess, 25, married and from Switzerland, won Miss Nude World for 1971 at a nudist resort north of Hamilton. She beat 16 rivals in front of about 3,000. judges included journalists and broadcasters. Her prize covered a Florida trip, clothes, cosmetics, camping gear, and snow tires.

Lawrence set to decide on joining water suit and more

Lawrence city commissioners plan a Tuesday meeting to decide joining an anti trust water meter lawsuit filed by Attorney General Vern Miller and to review a broad engineering services agreement with Evans Bierly Hutchison and Associates. Copper contracts signed end major strike standstill

Three copper producers Kennecott Magma Copper Co and Miami Copper Co agreed to three year contracts raising wages by 92 cents an hour. Kennecott breakdown raises 60 cents first year and 16 cents in years two and three. About 32 000 workers nationwide walked off 26 days ago seeking higher pay. 2 200 Magma workers planned to return to work. 800 were on vacation.

City Commission Agenda New Business Highlights

The Lawrence City Commission reviews bids for 15th Street widening east of town, a paving letter for Harvard Road, and an Evans, Bierly, Hutchison proposal. An unidentified man arrived at Henriet ta Goodall Hospital in Sanford Maine over the weekend complaining of a moth in his ear. A nurse and a physician examined with an otoscope and the moth surfaced, attracted by the light, then fluttered out into the man’s car.
