Man pleads no contest in fatal 2023 shooting
Lawrence man Malge Crenshaw, 23, pleaded no contest in Douglas County District Court to involuntary manslaughter for the death of 20 year old Cameron Renner in the June 3, 2023 Cedarwood Drive shooting. The plea reduces a second degree murder charge to a midlevel felony with a two and a half year minimum, making Crenshaw eligible for probation at the judge's discretion.

The team will present details on Act expenses for conservation work by early fall 2024. The meeting agenda also includes sheriff's department request for a MailSec scanner, Route 442 bridge plan, and a briefing from the Douglas County Food Policy Council. The business meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Public Works training room with Zoom access.
