Two Hurt In Eudora Car Crash At Church And Tenth
In Eudora yesterday at 10 45 am two people were injured in a collision at Tenth and Church streets in front of a Standard Oil station. Rev Fred C Dissinger and C A Gilbreth were the drivers with Edgar Gilbreth also in the car. The Gilbreth vehicle struck pumps. one electrical machine was broken and another loosened. Gilbreth was taken to a Lawrence ambulance with injuries not considered serious. The Dissinger vehicle and the Gilbreth car were a 1935 Chevrolet and a 1928 Chevrolet. No insurance was carried.

Sleuths Seek Suspects in Benton Slaying
In Benton Illinois on July 24, Sheriff Powell led a manhunt for one or two unnamed suspects after the bedroom slaying of Mrs. George W. Gore 45 wife of a local physician. Meager clues were found at the scene and a neighbor reported an unidentified man fled the Gore home near dawn after hearing shots and a scream. Dr. Gore 65 said he was awakened by the shots. the victim was his second wife.
