Deputy's killer gets life term in Wichita
Gregory Moore was sentenced by Sedgwick County District Judge David Kennedy to life in prison without parole for the 2005 killing of Harvey County sheriff's deputy Kurt Ford, plus more than 51 years for related charges. The sentencing, the first under a 2004 Kansas no parole life law, followed Ford’s death during a shootout at Moore's home and included statements from Ford's family and supporters.
