B52s Hit Reds in Fifth Jungle Raid Near Saigon
Guam-based B52 bombers attacked Viet Cong installations about 30 miles northwest of Saigon in Binh Duong Province dropping 500 tons of bombs. The raid, the fifth by the B52s, followed Vietnamese requests to harass Viet Cong activity. Casualties this week were heavy on all sides, with U.S. losses and Vietnamese tolls reported.
