Kansas Justices Face Skepticism Over School Funding Plan
At a Kansas Supreme Court hearing, justices questioned the new formula for school funding and its claimed long term gains. Critics cited past promises that were not kept, with Justice Biles challenging less funding than in 08 09 and Justice Rosen pressing for assurances the plan will endure beyond the current year. The court aims to rule in coming weeks as lawmakers defend the measures before a district budget cycle.
