Roosevelt Hosts Luncheon With Tariff Reform Guests

At Sagamore Hill Roosevelt entertained United States Senator Hopkins of Illinois United States District Attorney Stimson of the Southern District of New York I E Mills of Wisconsin and Dr Gilbert Shaw of New York. Mills represented the Wisconsin Tariff Revision League and discussed tariff revision. Hopkins said no tariff revision should occur until after the next presidential election noting it would be a personal crisis for the Republican Party.
