Hit and run victim finds probe steady and slow
Gary Boyd bears stainless pins and a metal brace in his left arm five weeks after a Jeep Cherokee turned in front of his motorcycle. Driver Michael Shumway 43 turned himself in the same day prosecutors filed aggravated battery and leaving scene charges. Witnesses saw the Jeep’s driver glance back then speed away. Shumway admitted drinking beer before the crash. Boyd hopes for closure and medical removal within weeks as police investigations, reports, and charges unfold.
