Albert Kesselring a Nazi field marshal died Friday night in a Bavarian hospital at Bad Nauheim aged 74 after heart illness. He commanded air forces in Poland and the West 1940 and later led German troops in the Mediterranean and the Western Front before his 1945 war crimes trial verdicts. His death sentence was commuted and he was released in 1952 for health reasons.
