Not New Carrier Grant Mull of Post Office Force Di V orces His Mustache

Lawrence residents misidentified Grant Mull as a new post office carrier this morning before noticing his shaved mustache. The bolder move to suppress facial hair is linked to a post office shift aimed at quelling Bolshevik imagery. Mull’s mustache had long defined him, a vestige now replaced by a robed rookie look. Additional chatter centers on Billy Mays supporting a full mustache, while others joke about Magna Carta and lynching as trimming talk spreads among the staff. Also noted are visits from Mr. and Mrs. F Fry of Sedgwick, Kans., to Lawrence, and Ray Trotter of Baldwin returning from overseas.
