Firm buys Lawrence land at auction in foreclosure sale
Capitol Federal Savings and Loan of Topeka was high bidder at a Douglas County auction to satisfy a mortgage foreclosure. The firm paid 22436 dollars for a parcel including a lot and buildings in Marvonne Meadows in southwest Lawrence. Former owners Mr and Mrs David R Cowden resided at 2236 Melholland Road. The district court ordered the sale after a default on an August 1972 note.
