In San Francisco on July 15 Emile d Auner vice president of the Pacific States Telephone company refused to be sworn or testify in the Glass trial and was sentenced to five days imprisonment for contempt. The prosecution relied on Zimmer to prove Glass approved a fifty thousand dollar bribery disbursement alleged to have been paid to Supervisors by T. Halsey five thousand of which Mayer Broxton testified to accepting.
