Father accidentally shoots 10-year-old in Lawrence home

Lawrence Police say a father disassembling a handgun accidentally discharged a live round striking his 10-year-old son in the abdomen. The boy underwent surgery at Stormont Vail and is listed as doing fine. Police released no charges yet. the investigation will be forwarded to the Douglas County District Attorney.
