Humphrey Enters Democratic Race and Health Clinic Held
Washington reports Sen. Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota formally entered the Democratic presidential race ahead of the Los Angeles convention. McCarthy and Gov. Freeman announced the move from St Paul and said Humphrey plans primaries in Wisconsin Oregon South Dakota and possibly Nebraska. The Kanwaka 4 H Club and Douglas County Health Department sponsor a free tetanus clinic at Kanwaka Hall Thursday 7 to 9 pm for residents of Sigel Kanwaka and Brackett.

Montana hunter killed in battle with a bear
Missoula authorities pieced together a tragedy after Sam Adams a 39 year old hunter disappeared on October 27. His boots hat belt and other items were found at a rugged camp northeast of Missoula. Adams reportedly wounded a bear and tried to summon help before the bear overwhelmed him at the campsite.

City Fire Department Busy, Records Six Month Activity
