Ceramic Crests for KU Alpha Phi House Created by Professors and Students
Two large ceramic crests were installed on the Alpha Phi sorority house under construction at Emery Road and High Drive in West Hills. They were created by KU design professor Eldon Tefft and two students Annette Luthy and Phyllis Sims, who spent about 500 hours on the seven by five foot pieces after discussions with architect S. W. Bihr and the house corporation. The work was inspired by the architect's drawing and the project completed for the new house’s end walls.
