Wells Acres Tractors Turn Toward Auction After Decades
Vic Wells, 93, known for a yard full of 1920s and 1930s tractors, plans to auction his collection as Wells Acres in Douglas County faces development pressure. The neighborhood, near the Kansas Turnpike and Lawrence Paper Co., has grown closer to city life, but many residents hope big lots and rural charm endure.
