Downtown Lawrence to gain Marriott hotel at Ninth and New Hampshire
Developer Doug Compton led a ground breaking for a Marriott hotel at Ninth and New Hampshire streets. The five story hotel joins a seven story apartment building and plans for another seven story apartment and office building, all at the intersection. The projects total more than 60 million dollars and aim to transform downtown Lawrence into an urban core.

City moves to finalize Rock Chalk Park plan
City commissioners plan to finalize the Rock Chalk Park recreation center project this Tuesday. Redesigning Eisenhower Memorial Could Cost 17 Million
