Flood at Lake View disrupts Santa Fe embankment and rail service
Severe flood at Lake View caused the River to wash out the embankment between the schoolhouse and station, raising water ten feet on one side and washing away the track footing. Bridges and farm land were inundated, homes submerged, and rail traffic disrupted for several hours as piling drivers, sandbagging, and repairs were deployed.
