Topeka July 11 AP Kansas state board of agriculture and the U S department of agriculture forecast a 146 688 000 bushel wheat yield for the state based on July 1 conditions. The estimate uses 12 5 bushels per acre on 11 745 million acres yielding nine million more than the June 1 forecast. Last year produced 137 712 000 bushels from 11 476 000 acres at 12 bushels per acre. All-time Kansas record was 185 925 000 bushels in 1914. The report notes harvest was well advanced by July 1 with yields higher than early expectations.

Pioneer in Theater Industry Dies at 72
