Ozone Bands in Northern Hemisphere Explained

Smithsonian assistant F B Fowle proposes two ozone bands in the northern hemisphere. One forms by ultraviolet sunlight transforming oxygen to ozone. the other by solar wind particles bombarding upper air, creating a positively charged ozone layer. Observations from Table Mountain and Montezuma show spring ozone maxima and fall minima, with hemispheric differences linked to sunspot activity. The theory links terrestrial magnetism studies to dual ozone production by separate processes.
