Kansas riders conquer epic French climbs on Trek Travel
Three Lawrence cyclists, Hughes, McBride, and Gatti, joined Trek Travel for six riding days through France. They tackled Telegraphe, Galibier, Forclaz, and Alpe d Huez amid cold sleet as winds gusted to 30 mph. Despite flatland origins, they trained with 300 mile weeks and found teamwork and grit carried them to the top.
