World pilot and three Japanese survive sea ordeal off Russia
A Pilatus PC-12 flown by Mike Smith and three Japanese passengers was missing above the Sea of Okhotsk for 15 hours before a Russian ship found them near Sakhalin Island. They were evacuated to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk with two passengers showing hypothermia and all on a round-the-world tour that began June 11 in Canada.
