Trial questions Dr Uhls role in Gibbs murder
The defense challenged the lower court’s ruling and disputed Uhls alibi claims. They alleged he fled to avoid arrest after a warrant and attempted to prove he was in Topeka or the oil fields near Peabody rather than Hutchinson. The defense linked the murder trial to a prior holdup case in which Uhls was acquitted.
