Dennis Rader known as BTK told KAKE-TV he had picked a final target before his February arrest but would not identify her. He pleaded guilty to murders in Wichita from 1974 to 1991 and faces sentencing August 17. He described killing to satisfy sexual fantasies and predicted an emotional sentencing with a kleenex box. His Wichita home will be sold at auction Monday, though the listing omits his notoriety.

Lawrence orchestra weighs cutbacks to one or two big shows
The Lawrence orchestra, facing tight funds, weighs shrinking from a full 25 to 30 member ensemble to one or two large concerts and several small ensembles. A full season with an artistic director could cost 40 000 to 65 000 dollars, while a scaled back plan may cost 15 000 to 30 000. Members urge maintaining a full orchestra, citing local culture and fundraising potential. Several say the group has improved musically and should find a niche with the community.
