Colyer pushes Medicaid work rules despite court setback
Kansas Governor Colyer says his administration will pursue Medicaid work requirements for nondisabled KanCare enrollees, despite Kentucky and federal rulings. He cites self reliance and job training as aims, while critics warn such rules waste funds and limit access to care. Kansas lawmakers backed a proviso delaying implementation without legislative approval. Public health advocates caution work requirements may reduce coverage and raise costs.
