Hearing loop tech eyed for Lied Center venue
Retired radiologist Richard Meidinger and others note hearing aids work best within four feet of a speaker. The Lied Center plans new loop tech to improve acoustics after issues with the old infrared system. Hearing loss affects about 20 percent of Americans, with 48 million Americans experiencing some degree of hearing loss.
