The University Bridge Club of Lawrence raised over $700 for the Alzheimer’s Association at Steven K. Bogler’s home in Eudora. A June 29 bridge party drew 20 attendees and the two top scoring teams received prizes from the host.
The American Cancer Society needs volunteers for its Road to Recovery program providing rides to cancer patients for appointments. Drivers volunteer their time and use of their personal vehicle.
