Soil Conservation Service Notes on Gullies and Erosion
Soil Conservation Service notes gullies indicate uncontrolled erosion on farms. Where gullies form sheet erosion has removed topsoil. Eroded land should be planted to grass or trees to protect soil and provide feed, fence posts, and firewood. On overgrazed pastures with gullies, use is advisable.
