Judge convicts Reuter burglar in April break-in
Michael D. Coleman, 29, Lecompton, pleaded no contest to aggravated burglary, conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary, and felony theft for part in an April break-in at Reuter Pipe Organ Co. security guard Harold Garyardt was beaten. Coleman faces 34 to 38 months for aggravated burglary, 12 to 14 months for conspiracy, and 6 to 8 months for felony theft. sentencing set for Aug. 24. Jeffrey A. Sadowski’s trial is Oct. 30 on the same charges plus aggravated battery.

New program targets public housing income fraud in Lawrence
Lawrence Housing Authority earned federal trial participation to log onto an income verification computer system.
