Twins face risky head separation surgery in Singapore
Iranian twins Ladan and Laleh Bijani, born 1974 in Iran, joined at the head, undergo brain scans ahead of a landmark operation at Raffles Hospital. Doctors say each has a 50 chance of survival while one neurosurgeon predicts success. The 28-doctor team will attempt to separate adult craniopagus twins in a four day procedure with a shared vein posing the main risk.
