Storage Firm Plans Gas Recovery From Leaking Reservoir
The Natural Gas Storage Co of Illinois outlined a plan to recover leaking gas from an underground reservoir. Attorney Charles McDugald described a pilot gathering system that captures gas from the atmosphere and reinjects it, as the firm seeks authority to raise peak daily delivery to 430 million cubic feet. The gas serves 25 utilities across several Midwest states via Texas-Illinois Natural Gas Pipeline Co and Natural Gas Pipeline Co of America.

The Hokkaido prefectural government today placed damage from the region s worst rainstorm in a decade at about 44 million dollars. Up to five inches of rain fell Sunday night and Monday, hitting Hokkaido the northern island of Japan.

Girl 9 Electrocuted Opening Freezer in Detroit Dairy
A nine year old girl in Detroit died after touching a self serve freezer at a dairy store. Witness Grace Kirby said the girl fell backward when she approached the freezer. Police reported the unit had a short circuit and caused the fatal shock. Sharon Kimn and a friend had been sent from a yard pool to run an errand for Sharon’s mother.
