City Budget Hinges on Two New Sales Taxes
City Manager David Corliss proposes a 2009 budget relying on a 0.2 percent transit tax and a 0.3 percent streets tax to fund public transportation and infrastructure. A 0.5 percent total new sales tax could raise about $3.7 million, while property taxes would dip 0.1 mill.
