Renowned Engineer to Teach at Kansas University
Ralph W. Powell, a globally known authority on applied mechanics and hydraulics, will serve as visiting professor at Kansas University for 1957 58. A 67 year old retiree from Ohio State, Powell has held Yale Cornell Michigan State and Iowa connections, authored numerous hydraulics articles, and held key posts with ASCE and ASEE. Immigrant influx totaled about 3.2 million from 1946 to 1956 end of 1956.
