Royals owner envisions new downtown stadium by 2027 or 2028
Royals owner John Sherman said the team aims to choose a site near downtown Kansas City by summer and play in a new ballpark by 2027 or 2028. The plan centers a stadium in a redeveloped area linking eastern Kansas City to the T-Mobile Center, with Jackson County as the location, amid competition from Clay County.
