Bill to count undocumented children in Kansas schools
Kansas House Bill 2521 by Rep Allan Rothlisberg would require school boards to collect proof of lawful presence for new enrollees and publish on the Department of Education site the number of students lacking proof and the average per pupil cost. The bill allows enrollment without proof but aims to raise awareness of taxpayer dollars spent on education for children here illegally.
