Baby weighs 16 ounces born in abandoned mine
In Telluride Colorado a 16 ounce baby boy was born in an abandoned gold mine office high in the Rockies. Dr J J Parker said the premature infant shows normal cries appetite and development and is housed in a shoe box crib kept warm with two bottles of water on each side. The 21 year old mother is described as in good condition and the father works as a flotation operator at a local mine.
