Christy Marie McCormick daughter of Mike and Mary McCormick of Lawrence Kansas married Brian Scott Imel son of Dr Terry and Marilyn Imel of Goodland Kansas on December 7 2012 in Lawrence. The Hon Paula Martin officiated. Christy is an environmental scientist for the State of Kansas and a University of Kansas graduate. Brian is a maintenance technician with ICL Performance Products.
Heather Karlin from Baldwin High School made Benedictine College fall 2012 President's List by maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Duke University awarded a doctoral degree in immunology to Joshua Mahlios, a Lawrence High School alumnus. McPherson College announced fall 2012 Honor Roll and Honors Mention recipients. Baker University Nursing Dean's List named students with 3.5+ GPA. New Ovation Young Artist Piano winner Daniel Mangiaracino from Lawrence also earned an Artistic Performance Award. Kansas CPM program 2012 graduates include area residents such as Jay Armbrister and Janet Murray.
Kansas City couple Whitley Jackson and Andrew Hulse announce their engagement. The bride is the daughter of Rock Jackson and Cheryl Denton, a Free State High School and Kansas State University alumna pursuing an M D. The groom, son of Robert and Jamie Hulse, is a 2007 Lawrence High School graduate with a biology degree from Washburn and teaching studies at Pittsburg State University. The couple plans a June 15 2013 wedding at St Pauls Episcopal Church in Kansas City.

Matthew is KU 2009 BA in Business Administration, currently a real estate appraiser with Keller & Associates. Raj is a 2004 Shawnee Mission West High School graduate with bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Kansas State University 2009 and is self employed.
