Haskell Farm Lands totaling 540 acres will open for leasing February 1 with five tracts ranging from 58 to 114 acres. Bruce, chief clerk, will receive bids and Henry Roe Cloud announced the plan amid a shift of agricultural training to Chilocco Indian School.
CAPTAINS CREEK Mr and Mrs Ernest White sell their farm and set a closing out sale for Tuesday January 30. White recently appointed to a government job in the corn hot deal and may move to Kan ieal soon. He is serving a second term as clerk of Lexington township and has served on the Nonwood school board for years. Prairie Center Telephone patrons held annual meetings and officers were elected Earl White secretary Charles Gordon treasurer Ed Andrew Each phone will be charged 30 cents per month and Mr and Mrs John White will run the switchboard another year. Mr and Mrs Bishop of Kansas City visited Mr and Mrs Charles Reed last Sunday. Mr and Mrs Ralph Votaw and family also present.
