Homeless Shelter Demand Rises in Freezing Lawrence

Lawrence sees rising homeless shelter use as temperatures drop. The main 76 capacity shelter often hosts over 90 and up to 110 people nightly, supported by overflow at three downtown locations via a zoning change for Family Promise churches.
