Recess at K U but students can't rest
An odd KU campus piece notes a recess period amid final exams at the University of Kansas. Students struggle with libraries crowded, late hours for sororities, and cold weather as they juggle exams, social life, and job worries like Harry Levine seeking a successor for vending goobers at athletic events. Other items mention Ruth Breidenthal's Mardi Gras trip, Kathleen Asher's Washington vacation, and Rice Lardner's 1930 Supreme Court admission aided by a female intermediary.
