Boeing Scholars Named at KU For 1959 60
Wayne Bruning of Robinson and Jimmie Butler of El Dorado, both high school seniors, have been named Boeing Airplane Company scholars at Kansas University for the 1959 60 school year. Spencer E. Martin, director of Aids and Awards, announced. The Wichita Division funds the annual grant to the KU Endowment Association. Bruning and Butler join the program as new scholars, with the remaining grant, about 2400 dollars in recent years, renewing for scholars already pursuing engineering or business administration at KU.

No Action Planned In Missing Skeleton Case
Kansas University officials announced no action will be taken against three local high school youths who allegedly took a skeleton from Haworth Hall on October 29. They reportedly planned to hang it for Halloween, hid it when frightened by its value, kept it at home over two months, then took it to a cemetery where it was found January 8. Baby Born Thursday To Tyrone's Widow
Hollywood AP reports Deborah Power, widow of actor Tyrone Power, gave birth to a son Thursday two months after Power died of a heart attack in Madrid while a movie was being filmed. The baby, named Tyrone, weighed five pounds 12 ounces and was born at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital.
