Gulf War veterans eye guidelines for disability benefits

Officials from the Defense and VA ministries and the NIH plan May meetings to craft diagnostic guidelines for Persian Gulf syndrome. Once defined, veterans who link illness to service could receive disability benefits. a coordinating board will oversee research, treatment, and information sharing among VA, DoD, and HHS.
