Retired Army Colonel Killed in Kansas City Hotel
In Kansas City Missouri a 51 year old retired Army colonel Donald A Phelan was found dead Tuesday in his ninth floor hotel room. The autopsy cited massive internal bleeding from a five inch boning knife driven into his heart with 3% inches piercing the body. Police reported no motive and a maid discovered the body after entering the room to change linens. Phelan, a civil engineer, worked on a research project for a Boston firm in the nearby Minuteman missile complex near Warrensburg MO and had no access to classified material per the FBI.
