A computer error at Nasdaq caused erroneous price swings for as many as 1487 NYSE listed stocks on Thursday. AMR Corp showed conflicting figures with a reported 16 cent rise but some sources showed a 1.84 dollar gain as Nasdaq fixed the fault. Bethany Sherman said errors were confined to NYSE stocks and vendors are correcting data. The incident disrupted finance pages and brokerage feeds across the day.
