Braniff pilot David G. Burnett became the fourth candidate to file for the Lawrence city commission boosting the likelihood of a March 9 primary if more than six candidates run. Other filed contenders include Robert Sneegas Philip Stockton and Charles Fisher. Three seats will be filled with mayor and two commissioners not seeking re election. Filing closes Feb 16 and requires a $5 fee or 25 voter signatures.

Foster Named KU Band Chief In New Leadership
