A three year old boy, son of Mr Chas Pilla of Enders Kanesa, died after one day of illness at two o'clock yesterday morning. Medical efforts from two city physicians were unable to save him. He was the couple's only son and the baby of the family. Mr Pilla has three daughters remaining.

Another Hotel Fire Strikes Quincy’s Large Hotel
A morning blaze at the Quincy House in Quincy Alabama destroyed much of the four story hotel built in 1836. Guests on waking fled as flames and smoke spread from the third floor. One chamber maid suffered facial burns, and a detective was injured. About 42 boarders 15 transients and 42 servants lost most possessions. Ownership involved J L Morris owner and G P Fay lessee. Insurance recorded at 1250. Cause traced to a defective fuse.
