Portuguese-speaking priests scarce in New Jersey

Rene Lima arrived from Sao Paulo to aid Portuguese speakers in Newark area, the archdiocese has about 100000 Portuguese-speaking Catholics but only around 10 priests fluent in the language. Some faith leaders say worship online is possible and real, while others insist cyberspace cannot replace gathering before the Lord. The First Church of Cyberspace was launched in New York City five years ago by Rev. Charles Henderson to explore this new form of religious life.
